Konkan Railway Recruitment 2026: Offline Recruitment for Assistant Engineer, Assistant Signal & Telecom Engineer, and Assistant Mechanical Engineer

Age Details

• All candidates: 18-30 years (as on 01 August 2026).
• Age relaxation: up to 35 years for ST; up to 33 years for OBC-NCL; other relaxations as per KRCL policy.

Eligibility by Post

• Assistant Engineer (Civil): AICTE-recognised Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 60% marks (50% for ST candidates), plus valid GATE score (2023-2026) in Civil Engineering (Code CE).
• Assistant Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 60% marks, plus valid GATE score (2023-2026) in Mechanical Engineering (Code ME).
• Assistant Signal & Telecom Engineer: BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Communication / Communication / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, plus valid GATE score (2023-2026) in Electronics & Communication Engineering (Code EC).

Important: Candidates with degrees in other branches or who appeared in a different GATE discipline are not eligible. GATE score must meet the qualifying marks fixed by the GATE conducting authority.

Application Fee

• ₹1,180 (₹1,000 + 18% GST). The fee is refundable for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minority, and EBC candidates who participate in the selection process.

Important Conditions

• Applications must be sent by post to the designated KRCL address; online applications are not accepted.
• Serving KRCL employees with at least 3 years of regular service may apply, subject to necessary clearances.
• A service agreement bond is required for training/probation (2 years) with a further KRCL service obligation of 3 years after probation.
• Selection is based on GATE score, Presentation, and Personal Interview; there is no KRCL-conducted written examination.
• The organization reserves the right to modify vacancies or cancel the notification at any stage.
• Beware of touts and coaching centers; KRCL has not appointed any agents for recruitment.
• Candidates may be posted anywhere within KRCL’s area of operation; transfers to other Zonal Railways are not guaranteed.
• Documents must be submitted in original at DV along with required self-attested copies and certificates.
• Ensure all information and certificates are accurate to avoid disqualification.
