Age Limits (as applicable to posts)

• Assistant Section Officer: 18-38 years
• State Tax Inspector: 18-38 years
• Police Sub-Inspector: 19-31 years
• Age relaxation as per rules.

Educational Qualification

• Degree of a Statutory University or any equivalent qualification declared by the Government.
• Candidates appearing in the final year of their degree can apply, but must pass by the last date for accepting applications for the Main Examination.
• If a post requires internship or work experience, the candidate must have completed it by the last date for accepting applications for the Main Examination.
• Proficiency in Marathi is required.

Nationality

• Indian citizenship is required.

Physical Standards (for Police Sub-Inspector only)

• Male Candidates: Height minimum 165 cm; chest expansion minimum 5 cm; unexpanded chest minimum 79 cm.
• Female Candidates: Height minimum 150 cm.
• Candidates not meeting physical standards shall be declared unfit for appointment.

Other

• The stated educational qualification must be held up to the last date of accepting applications for the Main Examination.

Selection Process and Instructions

• Stage 1: Combined Pre-Examination (100 marks) for all three posts.
• Stage 2: Main Examination (400 marks) for shortlisted candidates.
• Stage 3: Physical Test (100 marks) for Police Sub-Inspector, with minimum qualifying marks of 60.
• Final merit is based on the combined Main Examination marks and Physical Test marks (for Police Sub-Inspector).
• Admit Cards will be available on the online portal 7 days before the exam date.
• Candidates must apply online via the Commission’s Computer System for Maharashtra Group-B (Non-Gazetted) Combined Pre-Examination.
• Ensure KYC verification is completed within the prescribed period and upload required documents in PDF format within the specified size limits.
• Reserve category candidates must upload category-specific documents at the time of applying.
• After appointment, candidates must meet all required qualifications and language proficiency requirements (Marathi and Hindi, as applicable).
