Eligibility Details

Professor

• Outstanding academic record with at least 60% marks in the Master’s degree, preferably with international teaching experience.
• Ph.D. or post-doctoral research in the relevant discipline.
• 3 to 7 years of experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent, with demonstrated doctoral/post-doctoral supervision experience.
• Preferably 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in peer-reviewed journals.
• Evidence of innovative teaching plans or research is desirable.

Associate Professor

• Excellent academic record with at least 60% marks in the Master’s degree, preferably with international teaching experience.
• Ph.D. or post-doctoral research in the allied/relevant discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of teaching and research experience at the national/international level, with doctoral research guidance.
• Preferably 8 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in peer-reviewed journals.
• Evidence of innovative teaching plans or research is desirable.

Assistant Professor

• Good academic record with a minimum of 60% marks in the Master’s degree in a relevant subject from an Indian or foreign university.
• Ph.D. or post-doctoral research in the allied/relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in peer-reviewed journals.
• Evidence of innovative teaching plans or research is desirable.

• Notification Release Date: 22 August 2026
• Last Date for Submission of Application: 15 September 2026

Note: There are no separate dates for shortlisting, written tests, or interviews in the notification. Updates will be communicated by email and on the official website.

Application Fee

• Rs. 500 per post to be paid directly to the university’s bank account. A separate payment is required for each post applied for.

Additional Instructions

• Incomplete or late applications will be rejected. Eligibility is assessed based on qualifications, experience, and publications as of the last submission date.
• Time spent pursuing M.Phil./Ph.D. may not count as teaching or research experience unless it involved concurrent teaching duties.
• Communications regarding shortlisting, interviews, and results will be sent via email and will also appear on the official website.
• No modification to submitted application details will be entertained after final submission.
• Government/PSU/autonomous body employees must apply through proper channel or provide a No Objection Certificate at the interview stage.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending interviews or other selection stages unless specifically notified.
• Selected candidates are expected to serve at the Rajgir campus and should be willing to relocate.
• Applicants who previously applied under a different advertisement must apply again.
• Any canvassing will lead to disqualification; disputes fall under the jurisdiction of courts in Patna, Bihar.
