• B.Sc. in Agriculture/Plant Sciences (B.Sc. Agri or B.Sc. (Hort.)/B.Sc. (Forestry)/B.Sc. (Biotechnology) in Plant Sciences) or B.Tech in Plant Sciences
• M.Sc. in Soil Science or equivalent
• Minimum 60% marks at Bachelor's level and 65% marks or OGPA 6.50/10.00 at Master’s level
• Punjabi language proficiency at Matric level (Punjabi Language certificate from Punjab School Education Board)
