Age Limit

• Medical Officer: 18-30 years
• Computer Programmer: 18-35 years
• Pharmacist Grade-II, Library Attendant Grade-I, Animal Attendant, Barber, Multi Tasking Staff (Sanitation) Grade-III: 18-30 years

Age relaxations as applicable for reserved categories and PwBD as detailed in the notification.

Eligibility by Post

• Medical Officer (Group A): MBBS or equivalent with valid medical registration; postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Computer Programmer (Group B): Master’s in Statistics/Mathematics (with Statistics)/Operation Research/Physics or Engineering/Computer Science; or Bachelor’s in Mathematics (with Statistics)/Physics/Statistics with 7 years of computer programming experience.
• Pharmacist Grade-II (Group C): Diploma in Pharmacy; registered Pharmacist under Pharmacy Act, 1948; may have degree in Pharmacy.
• Library Attendant Grade-I (Group C): Matriculation with Science; Diploma in Library Science.
• Animal Attendant, Barber, Multi Tasking Staff (Sanitation) Grade-III (Group C): Matriculation or equivalent; relevant experience.

Open/DOD qualifications from Open and Distance Learning are acceptable if recognized by the UGC.

• Opening date for online registration: 03.09.2026
• Closing date for online registration & submission: 19.10.2026 (The crucial date for eligibility is the last date of submission of the online application: 19.10.2026.)

Application Fee

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹1,500 + transaction charges
• SC/ST: ₹800 + transaction charges
• PwBD: Exempted Note: Fees are payable online via debit/credit card or net banking. Fee is non-refundable. You may apply for multiple posts if eligible but must pay the fee separately for each post.

Instructions and Notes

• Candidature is provisional; candidates not meeting eligibility will be cancelled at any stage.
• All updates (corrigenda, CBT notice, results, etc.) will be posted on the official PGIMER website; no individual notices will be sent.
• Changes to registration entries are not permissible after submission.
• Candidates must not bring prohibited items to the examination hall; admit cards will be available for download about a week before the exam.
• No re-checking/re-evaluation of CBT; objections on questions may be emailed within 3 days of the exam.
• Government/private employees must obtain NOC from their employer and forward the application through proper channel within 10 days of the closing date.
• Canvassing or impersonation will lead to disqualification and potential criminal proceedings.
• Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of Chandigarh Courts.
