Age Limits

• Minimum age: 18 years (as on 01 January 2026)
• Maximum age: 28 years (as on 01 January 2026)

Age Relaxation (Punjab Residents)

• SC/BC: Upper age limit relaxed to 33 years
• Ex-Servicemen (Punjab residents): Actual service period deducted; resultant age should not exceed maximum by more than 3 years
• Serving government employees: Upper age limit relaxed to 33 years

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Education Board/University on or before 01 January 2026.
• For Ex-Servicemen, the minimum educational qualification is Matriculation.
• Mandatory Punjabi qualification: All candidates must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any equivalent examination in Punjabi language on or before 01 January 2026.

Physical Standards (District & Armed Police)

• Minimum Height: 170.2 cm (Male), 157.5 cm (Female/Transgender)
• Note: Transgender candidates will be treated at par with Female candidates for PST/PMT.

• Application Last Date: 30 March 2026 (23:55 hrs)

Application Fees

• General: 550 (Examination Fee 650; Total 1,200)
• Ex-Servicemen (Punjab State only): 500 (Examination Fee 0; Total 500)
• SC/ST (All States) & BC (Punjab only): 550 (Examination Fee 150; Total 700)
• EWS: 550 (Examination Fee 150; Total 700)

Note: Fee once paid will not be refunded. Payment mode: Online only (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI).

Selection Process

The recruitment consists of three stages:

1. Stage-I: Computer Based Test (CBT) with Paper-I and Paper-II
2. Stage-II: Physical Screening Test (PST) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
3. Stage-III: Document Scrutiny

Important Notes

• No negative marking in CBT
• Paper-II is a qualifying paper and its marks are not counted for merit
• Normalization will be applied as the CBT is conducted in multiple shifts
• Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and read the official notification for cadre-wise vacancy and reservations
