Educational Qualifications

• MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India in allopathic medicine.
• Postgraduate degree (MS/MD) in General Medicine is also eligible.

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification experience practicing allopathic medicine in a hospital or clinic as a Medical Practitioner.

Location/Disposition

• Candidate’s dispensary or residence should be within a 10-15 km radius of the Bank’s dispensaries at the specified locations.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates are to apply offline. Applications must reach the Regional Director, Human Resource Management Department, Recruitment Section, Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata Regional Office, 15 Netaji Subhas Road, Kolkata - 700 001 before 16:30 hours on 12 December 2025. The sealed envelope should be superscribed with: ‘Application for the post of Part-Time Medical Consultant (MC) on contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration’.

Selection Process

• Document verification and interview, followed by medical examination as per RBI norms. The cost of medical tests will be borne by the applicant. The Bank reserves the right to modify eligibility criteria.

Terms

• Engagement is purely on a contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration. No pension, provident fund, gratuity, or other leave/facilities will be provided.
