Age Limit

32 years as on 17 August 2026. Age relaxations as per government rules for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/J&K domicile etc. are applicable.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a full-time Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology in Mechanical, Production, Production & Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical/Railways, Mechatronics & Automobile, or a combination of these disciplines.

• UR/EWS candidates (and SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD candidates applying against unreserved posts) must have a first-class degree or a minimum of 60% marks.
• Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD, as applicable) must have a minimum of 50% marks for consideration against reserved posts.
• The degree must be AICTE-approved and conferred by a recognized university; equivalency and certification details are as per Govt. of India norms.
• If marksheets do not show a class/division or percentage, a conversion formula issued by the university must be submitted; otherwise an authorized undertaking is required, and a CGPA of 6/10 will be treated as 60%.

Experience Requirement

A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in production or mechanical maintenance or related mechanical engineering areas, gained at project sites, factories, or plants. Internship, teaching, or research experience will not be counted. Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act will be considered toward the minimum experience, subject to other eligibility conditions.
