Age Details

• Maximum age: 40 years as on 14-09-2026. Relaxations available as per Government norms for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD. PwBD candidates may receive up to 10 years of relaxation in addition to category relaxations.

Educational Qualifications

• A full-time Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering with UT Level-2 Certificate (ASNT/ISNT), or
• A full-time Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering with UT Level-2 Certificate (ASNT/ISNT)

The Diploma/Degree must be from an institution recognized by AICTE/BTE or by a university incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, or an institution established under the UGC Act, 1956. Where applicable, equivalent qualifications recognized by AICTE are accepted.

Experience

• For Diploma holders: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience
• For Degree holders: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience

Preference may be given to candidates possessing NDT experience.

Selection Process and Instructions

• The selection process includes Document Scrutiny/Verification followed by an Interview (weightage: 100% - Technical/Professional proficiency 65%, and Personality/Communication/Competency 35%). A minimum of 60% in the interview is required for UR/EWS (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD).
• The interviewer may be conducted at RITES Regional Offices as required. Candidates may choose Hindi or English for the interview.
• Do not send hard copies of documents. Originals are required only at the time of document verification/interview. Ensure all uploaded documents are clear and legible.
