Age Limits and Relaxations

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum upper age limit: 52 years (varies by category with applicable relaxations as per rules)
• Age as on 01.01.2026 for calculation of limits. Specific relaxations apply for OBC-NCL, SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and other categories as per the CEN.

Educational Qualifications

• 10th pass (Matriculation/SSC/SSLC) from a recognized board OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCVT. Diploma/Degree in Engineering is not accepted in lieu of ITI. Graduates may not be considered in lieu of ITI for Level-1 posts.

Other Eligibility Notes

• The qualification must be fulfilled as on the last date for online submission of applications. Awaiting results are not eligible. Certificates must be valid and as specified in the notification.

• Online application start: 31-01-2026 (00:00 Hrs)
• Online application end: 09-03-2026 (23:59 Hrs)
• Fee payment end: 11-03-2026 (23:59 Hrs)
• Application modification window: 12-03-2026 to 21-03-2026 (23:59 Hrs)
• Scribe details entry window for PwBD: 22-03-2026 to 26-03-2026
• CBT (tentative): Will be notified on RRB websites
• PET/DV/ME dates: Will be notified on RRC websites

Application Fee

• General/EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 refundable on appearing in CBT)
• SC/ST/PwBD/Female/ExSM/Transgender/Minorities/EBC: Rs. 250 (refundable on appearing in CBT, after deductions as applicable)

Fee Payment

• Online payment only via internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI. All charges are non-refundable where applicable.

General and Important Instructions

• Apply for only one RRB/Railway Zone and indicate post preferences within that zone. Multiple applications will lead to rejection.
• Use official RRB websites for application submission. Beware of fake sites.
• After submission, changes are allowed only within the modification window on payment of Rs. 250 per modification.
• Identity authentication via DigiLocker or Aadhaar is strongly advised. A seeded bank account linked to Aadhaar is required for fee refunds.
• Candidates must meet medical standards as per IRMM for the posts opted. Lasik surgery impacts eligibility for certain medical standards.
• The recruitment process may include additional CBTs, PETs, or DVs as required. Final decisions rest with RRB/RRC authorities.
• Keep ready scanned documents (signature, certificates) as per notification requirements. Scribe facilities are available for eligible PwBD candidates who follow the process.
• Be mindful of data accuracy during account creation and application submission to avoid disqualification.
