Age Limits (as on 01.01.2026)

• General: 18-33 years (UR & EWS)
• OBC-NCL: Up to 36 years
• SC/ST: Up to 38 years

Age Relaxation (non-cumulative):

• OBC-NCL: +3 years
• SC/ST: +5 years
• PwBD: +10 to +15 years depending on category
• Ex-Servicemen: +3 to +8 years depending on category
• CCAA/Group C&D staff relaxations vary by category

Educational Qualification

• 10th Pass (Matriculation/SSC/SSLC) from a recognized board, OR
• ITI certificate from a recognized institute, OR
• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCVT
• Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of ITI
• Important: Candidates waiting for final results are not eligible to apply
• Note: Course completed Act Apprenticeship/Engineering diploma or degree not accepted in lieu of ITI/NAC

Medical Standards

• Medical fitness as per Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM) Vol. I, Chap. 5
• LASIK candidates not eligible for A2 & A3 posts
• Different medical standards for Ex-Servicemen (ExSM)
• Medically unsuitable candidates will not be given alternative appointments

• Online Application Start Date: 31.01.2026
• Online Application Closing Date: 02.03.2026 (23:59 Hrs)
• Fee Payment Last Date: 04.03.2026 (23:59 Hrs)
• Application Modification Window: 05.03.2026 to 14.03.2026
• Scribe Details Entry Window: 15.03.2026 to 19.03.2026
• CBT (Tentative): Will be notified on RRB websites
• PET/DV/ME: Will be notified on RRC/RRB websites

Application Fee

• General, EWS, OBC-NCL (Male): Rs. 500 ( Rs. 400 refundable after CBT)
• SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, EBC: Rs. 250 (refundable after CBT, bank charges non-refundable)

Payment: Online via Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI. Fee deadline: 04-03-2026 23:59 Hrs.

General Instructions

• ONE application per candidate; multiple applications will lead to rejection and debarment
• Choose ONE RRB/Railway Zone (preferences within the zone)
• Online applications only via official RRB websites
• DigiLocker/Aadhaar-based authentication is strongly advised; Aadhaar-seeded bank account required for fee refund
• Scribe facility available for eligible PwBD candidates; details must be submitted within the specified window
• Keep application number for reference

Documents and Verification

• Live photo and signature uploads in specified formats/sizes
• DV requires original certificates and English/Hindi translations where applicable
• Original and two self-attested copies of documents to be presented at DV
• Scribe and PwBD related documentation as per Annexures

• Selection purely on merit; normalization may apply if CBT is conducted in multiple sessions
