Educational Qualification

• Mandatory: MBBS degree from a Medical Council/State Medical Council-verified institution approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• Preferred: Postgraduate Diploma or MD/MS (or equivalent).

Experience

• If the candidate holds only MBBS: minimum 5 years of experience as a General Practitioner from the date of NMC/State Medical Council registration.
• If the candidate holds a postgraduate degree: minimum 3 years of experience as a General Practitioner from the date of registration.
• Internship, teaching, and training experience will not count toward the eligibility requirement.

Age

• Maximum age: 35 years as on 31 May 2026.
• Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules (see categories).
