Age Limits (as on 31 December 2025)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years

Age relaxations as applicable for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and other categories are as per government guidelines.

Eligibility Qualifications

Essential Academic Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government, including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant are also eligible.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience as on 31 December 2025 as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank (as listed in the Second Schedule of the RBI).

Salary Reference

Candidates with experience in Scheduled Commercial Banks other than Public Sector Banks/Regional Rural Banks should have a minimum annual gross salary of Rs. 9.50 Lakh for each year, with documentary evidence (Form-16/AIS/pay slips) for the last 24 months or a certificate from the employer.

Language & Other Conditions

Proficiency in the local language of the respective Circle is required. Other general conditions apply as specified by SBI, including eligibility related to CIBIL status, character antecedents, and restrictions on cross-branch postings.

Note: Fees are non-refundable. Payment can be made via debit card, credit card, or Internet Banking. Transaction charges (if any) will be borne by the candidate.

General Instructions

• The candidate will apply for vacancies in only one Circle; vacancies are Circle-specific. Merit lists are prepared circle-wise and category-wise.
• On joining, selected candidates will be designated as Circle Based Officers (CBOs) and will be on probation for 6 months. Local language proficiency requirements apply.
• Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed transport costs as per SBI guidelines.
• SBI reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• Do not rely on external coaching platforms promising guaranteed selection.

How to Apply

• Online application is open from 29.01.2026 to 18.02.2026. No other mode will be accepted.
• Ensure a valid email ID and mobile number; visit the SBI careers page and fill the Online Application Form under Current Openings.
• Upload scanned copies of required documents and a recent photograph/signature as per specifications.
• Make the payment via the SBI payment gateway and print the e-receipt and application form for your records.
• After submission, download the call letters for Online Exam and Interview from the Bank's website using your registration number and password/date of birth.

Selection Process

1. Online Examination (Phase 1): Objective Test (120 marks) and Descriptive Test (50 marks).
2. Phase 2: Screening based on eligibility and job profile alignment.
3. Phase 3: Interview (50 marks).
4. Phase 4: Local Language Proficiency Test for provisionally selected candidates.

Final merit is prepared by 75:25 weightage to Online Test and Interview. There is no penalty for wrong answers in the objective test.
