Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years (as per government rules)
• Maximum age: 30 years as on the last date of online receipt (07-09-2026)
• Relaxations as per central government instructions for specific categories.

Educational Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a recognized university in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at degree level; OR
• Master’s degree from a recognized university in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at degree level; OR
• Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi as the medium and English as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level; OR
• Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English as the medium and Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level; OR
• Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level.

Translation Qualification/Experience

• A recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa, OR
• Two years of translation experience from Hindi to English and vice-versa in a Central Government or State Government office, including government undertakings.

Important Instructions

• Applications must be submitted online only via the STPI website. No offline, postal, or email submissions will be accepted.
• Prior experience in government translation work and proper documentary evidence will be required.
• NOC from current employer is required for candidates working in Central/State Government or PSUs.
• STPI reserves the right to vary the number of posts or to not fill any post.
• Candidature is provisional until verification of eligibility and certificates by the Appointing Authority.
• Selected candidates may be posted at any STPI center across India (STPI operates 73 centres).
• Ensure submission of all required documents and certificates in the prescribed format.
• For reservation or age relaxation, submit certificates in the Central Government prescribed format.
