UP Special TET 2026 Notification - Exam Date, Eligibility, Fee, Syllabus

Age Limit

• Maximum age for Special Educators serving on contract/deliverables basis: 60 years as on the exam date (3 November 2026).
• No separate age limit is specified for other serving teachers in the notification.

Eligibility for Primary and Upper Primary Teachers

• Primary Level (Class 1-5): Serving teachers in eligible UP schools and CWSN Special Teachers (approx. 2,500 posts) who meet qualification requirements.
• Upper Primary Level (Class 6-8): Serving teachers in eligible UP schools and CWSN Special Teachers (approx. 2,500 posts) who meet qualification requirements.

Mandatory Eligibility for Special Teachers (CWSN)

• Special Educators, Primary level (Class 1-5), CWSN: Graduation with an RCI-recognised D.Ed Special Education or equivalent, and an active RCI registration certificate with a CRR number.
• Special Educators, Upper Primary level (Class 6-8), CWSN: Graduation with an RCI-recognised B.Ed Special Education or equivalent, and an active RCI registration certificate with a CRR number.

Application Fees

• General / Other Backward Class / Economically Weaker Section: Primary ₹1,000; Upper Primary ₹1,000
• Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe: Primary ₹500; Upper Primary ₹500
• Divyangjan (PwD): Primary ₹300; Upper Primary ₹300

Payment can be made online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. Fee is non-refundable for erroneous applications and is not transferable. Fees must be deposited before the final submission date.

Instructions and Other Details

• Online registration is through the OTR-based system. Ensure accurate entry of category, sub-category, date of birth, and gender, as these cannot be modified after final submission.
• Special Instructions for CWSN applicants: provide RCI registration details with an active CRR number.
• Admit cards will be issued via the official portal; download only from the stated site and check the allotted centre and date.
• If a candidate appears at a centre or for a subject not listed on the admit card, the candidature will be cancelled.
• Divyangjan candidates are entitled to a scribe and extra time as per government orders; bring necessary documentation and register with details ahead of the exam.
• Ensure you meet the minimum eligibility before appearing for the exam.
• Reserved category candidates must comply with UP state guidelines for domicile and caste certificates; misrepresentation may lead to disqualification.
