Age Limit

Educational Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree.
• Minimum of fifteen years of teaching/research service as Professor or Associate Professor in a university/college/higher education institution, or equivalent.
• At least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals.
• Minimum 110 Research Score (API) as per Annexure-2.

For Principal posts in Law colleges, eligibility is considered with reference to Bar Council of India norms. For Teacher Training (B.Ed.) colleges, eligibility is considered as per NCTE norms.

Tenure and Related Eligibility

• Tenure of appointment is five years, extendable for a second five-year term based on performance evaluation.
• On completion, the incumbent reverts to the substantive post of Professor at the original institution.
