Educational qualifications (summary by post)

• Librarian (Level 14): Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation; CGPA 6.5/10 or 60% marks; 10 years’ experience as Deputy Librarian (PB4 GP ₹8,700 in previous pay scale).
• Senior Scientific/Technical Officer (Level 12): B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. in relevant field or MCA with First Class (6.5 CGPA); 5 years’ experience as Technical/Scientific Officer.
• Scientific/Technical Officer (Level 10): B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. in relevant field or MCA with First Class (6.5 CGPA) OR Institute employees with 5 years’ service.
• Executive Engineer (Level 10): B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with First Class OR Institute employees with 5 years’ service as Assistant Engineer.
• Superintendent (Level 6): First Class Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline OR Master’s Degree with 50% marks; knowledge of computer applications.
• Library and Information Assistant (Level 6): First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Arts/Commerce; Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science.
• Junior Engineer (Level 6): First Class B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering OR First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Technical Assistant (Level 6): First Class B.E./B.Tech./MCA in relevant subject OR First Class Diploma in Engineering OR First Class B.Sc./M.Sc. with 50% marks.
• Senior Assistant (Level 4): Senior Secondary (10+2); typing speed 35 wpm; proficiency in computer word processing and spreadsheets.
• Senior Technician (Level 4): Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science (60%); OR 10+2 with 50% and ITI (1 year); OR 10th with 60% and ITI (2 years); OR Diploma in Engineering (3 years).
• Junior Assistant (Level 3): Senior Secondary (10+2); typing speed 35 wpm; proficiency in computer word processing and spreadsheets.
• Technician (Level 3): Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science (60%); OR 10+2 with 50% and ITI (1 year); OR 10th with 60% and ITI (2 years); OR Diploma in Engineering (3 years).
• Office/Lab Attendant (Level 1): For Office Attendant: Senior Secondary (10+2); for Lab Attendant: Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science.
