Bihar’s Health Department, through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB), has announced the Senior Resident / Tutor recruitment for 2026. Online applications are invited from 25 August 2026 to 8 September 2026 for a total of 118 tenure posts in medical and dental colleges and hospitals across Bihar.

  • Unreserved (Male): 37 years
  • Unreserved (Female)/BC/EBC: 40 years
  • SC/ST (Male & Female): 42 years
  • Additional relaxations: 5 years for Bihar State Health Service cadre members; 10 years for PwD candidates (only one relaxation applicable).

Eligibility

Eligibility Details

  • A postgraduate degree in the concerned subject/specialty is required for Senior Resident/Tutor posts. DNB or DNB Super Specialty qualifications are also recognized as valid under NMC 2025 Regulations.
  • If postgraduate candidates are unavailable, candidates with a Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant subject may be considered, with a 10-mark deduction in merit compared to postgraduate degree holders.
  • A postgraduate qualification recognized as equivalent under Medical Council teacher eligibility norms is also eligible to apply.

  • Payment: Online only (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI). Processing charges may apply. The fee is non-refundable except in cases of a failed transaction, where it will be refunded to the applicant’s account.
