General eligibility (as per NMC guidelines)

Professor

• MD/MS/DNB in the subject, or M.Sc with Ph.D in Medical Microbiology/Pharmacology (as applicable)
• 3 years as Associate Professor in a recognised medical institution; at least 2 research publications as Associate Professor; Basic Course in Biomedical Research completed

Associate Professor

• MD/MS/DNB in the subject, or M.Sc with Ph.D in Medical Microbiology/Pharmacology (as applicable)
• 4 years as Assistant Professor (5 years if directly appointed in a Government medical institution); at least 2 research publications as Assistant Professor; Basic Course in Biomedical Research completed

Assistant Professor

• MD/MS/DNB in the subject, or M.Sc with Ph.D in Medical Microbiology/Pharmacology (as applicable)
• 1 year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognised medical institution (relaxations for Tutors, Demonstrators, non-teaching posts as per notification)

Emergency Medicine Department (special notes under the notification)
