Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026)

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 40 years

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST/OBC (UP): Up to 5 years
• Permanent UP government employees with at least 3 years of continuous service: Up to 5 years
• Persons with Disabilities: 15 years
• Ex-servicemen: Up to 3 years (subject to total service period deducted from actual age; must be discharged by the last date)

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess, by the last date of application, either:

• B.Sc Nursing (4-year program) from an Indian Nursing Council/State Medical Faculty recognised institute or university, or B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) (2-year program) from an Indian Nursing Council recognised institute/university, and be registered as Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council; OR
• Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council recognised institute/board/council, registered as Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council, with two years' experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after acquiring the above qualification.

Domicile and Other Conditions

• Only permanent residents (Domicile) of Uttar Pradesh are eligible to apply for reserved posts; SC/ST/OBC/EWS/DFF/Women/Ex-servicemen candidates who are not original residents of UP will be considered UR.
• Married male candidates with more than one wife or female candidates married to a man with an already-living wife are not eligible unless exempted by the Governor.

Application Fees (GST included)

• UR/OBC/EWS: ₹1,298 (₹1,100 + ₹198 GST)
• SC/ST: ₹944 (₹800 + ₹144 GST)
• Divyang (UP domicile only): Exempted

The fee is non-refundable. The printed application form can be generated after payment.

• Only online applications are eligible; submissions via other means will not be accepted.
• Hall tickets will be available on the official website; no postal dispatch.
• No TA/DA is provided for the exam or documents verification.
• Candidates must have a No Objection Certificate (NOC) if in regular government service.
• The institute reserves the right to fill or not fill any/all posts and to make adjustments as per norms.
