Age Limit (as on 06-10-2026)

• Minimum age: 18 years for all candidates
• Maximum age varies by category and domicile: up to 33 years for MP domicile Unreserved and other-state Unreserved; up to 38 years for most reserved categories; up to 43 years for certain cases (e.g., inter-caste marriage relaxations, Vikram Award relaxations, etc.). The exact breakups are detailed in the official notification.

MP Police Constable (GD) Qualification

• Unreserved, SC, and OBC candidates: Class 10 (10+2 system) or Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination from a recognised board
• ST candidates: Class 8 or an equivalent examination

MP Police Constable (GD) Other Eligibility Conditions

• Must be a citizen of India with live MP Employment Office registration
• Age and other relaxations as per MP government rules
• Certificates (age, education, Home Guard/Ex-servicemen proof, and identity) must be available on the date of document verification
• Candidates must meet physical and medical standards as applicable
• Residents of MP get reservations as per MP reservations rules; non-domiciles from other states may apply only under Unreserved category
• No prior domicile relaxation beyond those stated in the notification

Mandal (MPESB) Examination Fee

• Unreserved: ₹500
• MP Domicile SC/ST/OBC/EWS: ₹250

Police Department Examination Fee

• Unreserved: ₹200
• MP Domicile SC/ST/OBC/EWS: ₹100

MP Online Portal Fee

• Kiosk: ₹60 (payment at an authorised MP Online kiosk)
• Self-login: ₹20

Note: There is no examination fee for backlog vacancies under direct recruitment.

Instructions and Notes

• Aadhaar registration is mandatory for all candidates; biometric verification is required on entry and during the exam.
• Carry a valid photo identity document to the exam center (Voter ID, PAN, Aadhaar, Driving Licence, or Passport).
• Entry is permitted only up to the specified reporting times; late candidates will not be admitted.
• Electronic devices are prohibited inside the exam hall.
• Admit cards must be downloaded from the MPESB site; no hard copies are sent by post.
• Certificates must be produced during document verification; eligibility in the online exam is provisional until verification.
• All candidates must have live MP Employment Office registration.
• There is no provision for re-evaluation/recounting of exam results after declaration.
• Selected candidates will undergo three years of probation and mandatory training; failure to complete training will lead to further opportunities to clear it.
• Shortlisting for PET will be based on a merit list derived from the written exam score and PET marks; a waiting list of 15% of vacancies will be valid for one year or until the next result is declared.
• Detailed vertical category (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS) reservations are as per MP reservations policy and reflected in the official notification.
