RWF Sports Quota Recruitment 2026-27: 15 Sportsperson Posts (Offline)

Age Limit

18 to 25 years as on 01 January 2027. Candidates must be born between 02 January 2002 and 01 January 2009 (both days inclusive). No age relaxation is permitted.

Educational Qualifications by Level

Level-2 (GP 1900)

• Technician Gr.III: 10th Pass with NAC granted by NCVT in relevant Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engg. trades; OR 10th Pass plus ITI in the relevant trade (6 months training); OR 10th Pass alone (2 years' training).
• Junior Clerk/Accounts Clerk: 12th (+2 stage) Pass or its equivalent.

Level-1 (GP 1800)

• All posts: 10th Pass OR ITI OR equivalent OR NAC granted by NCVT

Important Dates

• Notification Date: 25 July 2026
• Closing Date for General Applications: 24 August 2026, 17:00 hrs
• Closing Date for NE States and certain regions: 31 August 2026, 17:00 hrs
• Field Trials (Tentative): 6 October 2026 to 8 October 2026

Application Fee

• General category: ₹500 (₹400 refundable on appearing in trials)
• SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Minorities/EBC: ₹250 (refundable on appearing in trials)

Fee is payable via IPO/DD in favour of Principal Financial Adviser (PFA), Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bengaluru. IPOs/DDs must be from an Indian Post Office/Nationalised Bank and dated on or before the closing date.

Instructions / Important Notes

• Applications must be sent offline (post or drop box) by 24 August 2026 (31 August 2026 for specified NE and hill/island regions).
• Separate applications must be submitted for each game/event along with the prescribed examination fee.
• Government employees must submit an NOC and intimations to their employer at the time of trials.
• No TA/DA or accommodation provided for document verification or trials.
• Selected candidates will undergo a 2-year probation and may sign a Service Bond (Annexure-E) committing to a minimum 5-year service in their sports field.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• Only registered and active sportspersons with appropriate norms will be considered; higher pay level norms may be considered if undertaking is submitted.
