Age Details

Minimum age: 21 years. Maximum age: 42 years as on 01 July 2025. Relaxations apply per Uttarakhand government rules for specified categories.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must hold one of the following INC-recognised qualifications: B.Sc. (Honours) in Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing (regular), Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery/Psychiatric Nursing. In addition, candidates must have working knowledge of Hindi and a valid, permanent registration certificate from the Uttarakhand Nurses and Midwives Council, Dehradun, issued on or before 02 July 2026. An NUI card or a registration receipt is not acceptable. Optional strengthening qualifications include 2 years of Territorial Army service or an NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate.

Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025)

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not older than 42 years as on 01 July 2025, with age relaxations as applicable for specific Uttarakhand-domiciled categories.

Domicile and Reservation

Reservation benefits are available only to permanent residents of Uttarakhand. Outside candidates from reserved categories will be treated as unreserved unless they hold Uttarakhand domicile. OBC certificates must be dated no earlier than 02 July 2023. EWS does not receive relaxation.
