Age as on 01 July 2025

• Associate Professor: Minimum 30 years, Maximum 62 years
• Professor: Minimum 35 years, Maximum 62 years Note: Upper age limits for Uttarakhand Government categories (SC/ST/OBC, etc.) may be higher as per applicable rules.

Educational Qualification

• Qualification as per the latest NMC-TEQ Regulations: Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, dated 30 June 2025.
• Special consideration for non-clinical subjects: candidates holding an M.Sc (Medical) or Ph.D in medical subjects may not be required to have Medical Council registration.

Preferential Qualifications

• Served a minimum of 2 years in the Territorial Army, or
• Obtained a National Cadet Corps (NCC) 'B' Certificate

Medical Council Registration

• A valid/renewed registration certificate with the Medical Council of any state is required up to the last date of online application. For non-clinical subjects, MCI/NMC registration may not be required.

Nationality

• Indian citizen, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from certain countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Character, Marital Status and Physical Fitness

• Candidates must be of good character and physically fit; certain disqualifications apply as per government rules.
