Eligibility Details

Educational Qualifications

• Regular enrollment in engineering programs: B.E./B.Tech (7th/8th semester) or M.E./M.Tech (1st/2nd year) in relevant disciplines.

Other Criteria

• Regular students from AICTE-approved technical institutes or UGC-approved universities.
• Candidates must maintain at least 8.5 CGPA (out of 10) or 85% marks in all previous semesters.
• Backlogs are not eligible.
• Open only to Indian nationals.
• Students already receiving stipends or similar benefits from other institutes are not eligible.

Important Dates

• Last date to receive applications at CVRDE, Chennai: 10 August 2026
• Intimation to selected students (through email): 4th week of August 2026
• Start date of paid internship: 01 September 2026

Application Fee

Nil. There is no application fee for the CVRDE Paid Internship Recruitment 2026.

Important Instructions

• Police verification is required at the time of joining if selected.
• A medical fitness certificate (MBBS or BAMS) must be submitted at the time of joining.
• CVRDE/DRDO is not obliged to offer employment after completion of the internship, and interns cannot claim employment rights on this basis.
• Completion certificates and stipends will be issued only to interns who complete the program.
• The DRDO official notification and enclosures can be downloaded from the official DRDO website.

Required Documents (for offline submission)

• Duly filled application in the prescribed format (Appendix A)
• Request letter/No Objection Certificate from the institute (Appendix B)
• Undertaking Form (Appendix C)
• Semester mark sheets, college identity documents, Aadhaar, biodata, and any relevant certificates
• Recent passport-size photograph (4.5 x 3.5 cm)
