Age Limits

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 35 years
• Relaxations as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 (category-wise and PwD/ex-servicemen provisions).

Educational Qualifications

• Must possess either:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized university, or
  • A Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized university or institution with about two years’ relevant experience.
• Must have basic computer knowledge and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Candidates selected by direct recruitment must be registered with the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council at the time of appointment, if not already registered.

Other Requirements

• Registration with Gujarat State Pharmacy Council under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 at the time of appointment if applicable.

General Information/Instructions

• GSSSB issued a revised advertisement for Junior Pharmacist, Class-III recruitment. The total vacancies have increased from 209 to 321 across two departments:
  • 209 posts: Commissioner of Health, Medical Services and Medical Education Office - Rural Health Branch - Community Health Centers
  • 112 posts: Medical Education and Research Office
• Educational qualifications and age limits are uniform for both departments.
• Eligible candidates may apply online during the extended period if they were unable to apply in the original window.
• At certificate verification, candidates must indicate their order of preference for appointment in both departments; changes are not allowed after submission.
• Waiting list will be prepared as per General Administration Department guidelines.
• Disability certificates must follow the new format specified in the Health and Family Welfare Department circular dated 15/12/2025.
• Candidates who applied in the original window (16/12/2025 to 30/12/2025) must submit the new format disability certificate along with the old one at verification time.
• The notification, vacancies, and pay scale details are subject to official rules and court outcomes.
