GSSSB Municipal Engineer Recruitment 2026 Notification: 50 Posts Online Apply

Age Limits

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 35 years Category-wise relaxations applicable as per rules (e.g., General/Reserved categories, women, PWD, Ex-servicemen)

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
• Basic knowledge of Computer Applications as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.

Additional Disciplines (Equivalent Qualifications)

• Candidates holding degrees in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, Construction Engineering and Management, Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering and Construction Management, Town and Country Planning, and related fields are eligible as specified in the notification (38 disciplines in total).

Nationality

• The candidate must be a citizen of India or possess nationality as per Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Application Fees

• General/Unreserved: ₹500
• Reserved categories (Women of all categories, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PWD, Ex-servicemen): ₹400

Fee Mode

• Online payment only (debit card, internet banking, UPI, wallet). Fees payment deadline: 13 August 2026 (11:59 PM). Fees are refundable only to candidates who actually appear for the examination.

Important Instructions

• Only one application should be submitted; multiple applications will render the last confirmed one with fee paid as valid.
• Category details cannot be changed after submission.
• Reserved-category candidates applying for unreserved posts may not receive certain relaxations.
• Widowed women may receive 5% additional marks; other merit enhancements are as per the notification.
• Persons with disabilities may request scribe/compensatory time by emailing the designated contact at least two days before the exam, with required documents.
• The exam is conducted under the Gujarat Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2023; violations are subject to action.
