Age Details

• Constable posts: 18-22 years.
• Fireman and Special Tiger Guard: 18-32 years.
• Age relaxation as per government norms for APST and Ex-Servicemen.

Eligibility Details

Nationality

Applicant must be a citizen of India and must fulfil all conditions as on the closing date of application.

Educational Qualification

• Class 10th (Matric) pass from a recognized board for all Constable, Fireman and Special Tiger Guard posts.
• Constable Band (IRBn): 10th pass with knowledge of playing band.
• Constable Bugler (IRBn): 10th pass with knowledge of playing bugle.

Age Limit

• Constable Posts (Post Codes 5/26, 6/26, 7/26, 8/26, 9/26): 18 to 22 years.
• Fireman & Special Tiger Guard (Post Codes 10/26 & 11/26): 18 to 32 years.

Age Relaxation

• APST candidates: Upper age relaxation up to 5 years.
• Ex-Servicemen: Service in Armed Forces can be deducted from actual age; if resultant age is not more than upper limit by more than 3 years, eligibility remains.
• One-time extra age relaxation applicable for certain post codes for APSSB written exam takers.

Physical Standards (Male)

• Height: General 165 cm; APST (excluding certain districts) 160 cm; APST Tirap/Changlang/Longding 152 cm; APST Ex-Servicemen 157 cm.
• Chest: 79 cm (normal) and 84 cm (expanded).

Vision & Other Requirements

• Vision: Distant vision 6/6 (corrected) better eye and 6/12 (corrected) worse eye; near vision J1/J2 (corrected); no colour blindness; fitness clearance required.
• Candidates must qualify PST/PET and, where applicable, trade tests (band/bugle).

• Online Application Last Date: 10 April 2026 (03:00 PM)
• Written Examination: 10 May 2026 (Sunday)
• PET/PST & Trade Test: From 25 May 2026 onwards
• Admit Card: To be released on apssb.nic.in before the exam

• APST candidates: ₹150
• UR candidates: ₹200

Fees are non-refundable and payable online at the time of form submission.

• Candidates must maintain a valid mobile number and email ID for registration and communications.
• Printouts of the submitted application and fee receipt should be kept for future reference during examination and document verification.
