HSFC Scientist/Engineer SD Age Limit

The upper age limit for all post codes (01 to 06) is 35 years as on 30-08-2026. Age relaxation is available for Central Government employees, PwBD candidates, and Ex-Servicemen as per government rules.

Post Code 01 - Bioinstrumentation / Biophysics / Medical Physics

• Ph.D. in Bioinstrumentation, Biophysics, or Medical Physics
• ME/M.Tech/MS in Biomedical-Instrumentation, Medical Imaging & Informatics, Healthcare Informatics, Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering (60% marks / 6.5 CGPA) AND BE/B.Tech in any field (65% marks / 6.84 CGPA)

Post Code 02 - Developmental Biology / Biotechnology

• Ph.D. in Developmental Biology or Biotechnology
• ME/M.Tech/MS in Biotechnology, Bioscience & Bioengineering, Biochemical Engineering or Biological Sciences (60% / 6.5 CGPA) AND BE/B.Tech in any field (65% / 6.84 CGPA); OR BS-MS dual degree in Biological Sciences (60% / 6.5 CGPA)

Post Code 03 - Cellular & Molecular Biology / Cell Biology

• Ph.D. in Cellular & Molecular Biology or Cell Biology
• MSc in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics or Life Sciences (60% / 6.5 CGPA) AND BSc in any field (60% / 6.5 CGPA); OR BS-MS dual degree in Biological Sciences (60% / 6.5 CGPA)

Post Code 04 - Computational Biology / Systems Biology / Bioinformatics

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Systems Biology or Bioinformatics

Post Code 05 - Biomedical Engineering / Biomedical Sciences

• ME/M.Tech/MS in Biomechanics, Biomechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering (60% / 6.5 CGPA) AND BE/B.Tech in any field (65% / 6.84 CGPA)

Post Code 06 - Biomedical Engineering / Biomedical Sciences

• Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Sciences with thesis in bio-imaging, signal processing, bioinformatics or equivalent
• ME/M.Tech/MS in Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Bioscience & Bioengineering, Medical Imaging & Informatics or Biomedical Signal Processing (60% / 6.5 CGPA) AND BE/B.Tech in any field (65% / 6.84 CGPA)

Additional qualification conditions

• Ph.D. and Master’s/Bachelor’s qualification must be from a recognized university/institute.
• Foreign degrees require an AIU equivalency certificate at interview.
• The specified master’s/bachelor’s qualification must be completed within the duration prescribed by the university.
• Candidates who completed professional courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are not eligible.
• CGPA-to-percentage conversions must follow ISRO criteria; rounding off is not permitted.

• Closing date for online registration, application submission and printing of summary: 30-08-2026 (1700 hrs)

Application Fee

There is no application fee for the Scientist/Engineer 'SD' posts (Post Codes 01-06).

3. Fill the online application form carefully, ensuring all mandatory fields (*) are completed.
4. Apply only against the post code matching your qualification.
5. Upload photo, signature and qualification certificates as specified.
6. Submit before 30-08-2026 (1700 hrs) and print a copy for reference.
