Age Limits (as on 16-08-2026)

UR/EWS: 28 years (born on or after 17-08-1998) OBC: 31 years (born on or after 17-08-1995) SC/ST: 33 years (born on or after 17-08-1993) Age relaxations apply as per Government rules.

Educational Qualifications

Assistant / Upper Division Clerk (Post No. 1, 3 & 5)

Graduation with at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32/10 from a recognized university, completed within the prescribed duration, and proficiency in computer use.

Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer (Post No. 2, 4 & 6)

Graduation with at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32/10 (within the duration) OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with the same marks criteria, plus one year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer; and a minimum speed of 60 words per minute in English stenography; proficiency in computer use. Apprenticeship Training Certificate under BOAT/NATS for DCP/DCCP holders is considered equivalent to one year of experience.

Application Fees

• Processing fee: ₹500 per application (non-refundable, except where fully refunded per policy)
• Application fee: ₹100 for each post
• Fees payable online via Bharatkosh (Internet Banking, UPI, Debit Cards). The processing fee is refunded in full to candidates exempted from the fee (e.g., women, SC/ST/PwBD, Ex-Servicemen) who appear for the written test; for others, ₹100 is deducted from the refund after appearing in the test.

Selection Process

Written Test

A single 150-minute objective-type paper with sections on General English, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Knowledge for Post 1,3,5; and English Language & Comprehension, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & General Knowledge for Post 2,4,6. Qualifying marks: 50% (UR), 40% (Reserved).

Skill Test

Shortlisting based on written test in a ratio up to 1:5 (depending on vacancies). Skills include Computer Literacy (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint) for Assistant/UDC and a Stenography test for JPA/Stenographer.

Final Selection

Based on written test marks with tie-breakers by general intelligence/reasoning or English comprehension and date of birth.

Remuneration

Level 4 of Pay Matrix. Minimum Basic Pay ₹25,500 per month plus DA, HRA, Transport Allowance; New Pension Scheme; medical facilities, canteen, LTC, group insurance, and other central government benefits.
