Age Limit (as on 01.02.2026)

• UR/EWS: 27 years
• OBC (NCL): 30 years
• SC/ST: 32 years
• PwBD: Up to 37 years (UR/EWS); Up to 42 years (SC/ST); Up to 40 years (OBC-NCL)
• Additional 5-year relaxation for children/family members of 1984 riots victims
• PwBD relaxations vary by post; refer to the official notification for exact post-specific limits.

Eligibility by Discipline

• Chemical: BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology or equivalent (regular 4-year or valid 3-year degree after diploma) with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST).

• Boiler: BE/B.Tech in Chemical/Petrochemical/Mechanical/Instrumentation/Electrical plus BOE/Boiler Proficiency certificate; 60% (55% for SC/ST).

• Mechanical: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or approved equivalent) with 60%.

• Electrical: BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field; 60% (55% for SC/ST).

• Instrumentation: BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering; 60% (55% for SC/ST).

• Materials: BE/B.Tech in relevant domains; 55% for ST category.

• Civil: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering; 60%.

• Fire: BE/B.Tech in Fire/Safety disciplines; 60%.

• CC Lab: Ph.D. in Chemistry or BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology; Ph.D. no percentage criterion; 60% for engineering graduates.

• Industrial Engineering: BE/B.Tech in Industrial Engineering or equivalent with 60%.

• Information Technology: BE/B.Tech in IT/CS/CT/CE; 60% (55% for SC).

• Rajbhasha: Master’s in Hindi with English as compulsory/elective or Master’s in English with Hindi; 60% in post-graduation.

• Finance: CA/CMA or B.Com/Finance-related degree plus 2-year MBA/MMS/PGDM in Finance; no percentage criterion for CA/CMA; 60% for postgraduate route.

• Marketing: Science/Engineering/Agri graduate plus 2-year MBA/MMS/PGDM in Marketing; 60% (55% for SC/ST).

• Final year students are not eligible. Percentage criteria refer to the qualifying degree as applicable. CGPA/OGPA should be converted to percentage as per university norms.

Application Fee

• General/OBC (NCL)/EWS: ₹1,000 plus applicable bank charges and GST
• SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Female candidates: Exempted from the fee

Fees are payable online via internet banking, debit/credit card. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

• Online Test: 90-minute computer-based exam with 100 questions (50 from the discipline, 50 from General Aptitude). Negative marking applicable.
• Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates, ratio about 1:7 per post. Minimum 50% in interview to qualify. Outstation candidates may receive travel reimbursement per notification.
• Final Merit: Based on Online Test (80%) and Interview (20%), with category/discipline-wise merit lists.
• Pre-employment medical examination and document verification required before final selection.
