GSSSB Junior Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 Notification - Apply Online for 266 Posts

Age Limit

18 to 35 years as on 25-06-2026. Age relaxations are applicable as per Government rules for different categories.

Educational Qualification

(i) Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized university/institution; OR (ii) Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized university/institution with about 2 years of relevant experience as a Junior Pharmacist in Government/Government Undertaking/Board or as Dispenser in hospital/dispensary or as Pharmacist/Medical Representative in a pharmaceutical company

Computer Knowledge

Basic computer knowledge as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; certificate/marksheet from a training institute or a diploma/degree/certificate in computer from a recognized university; if not available at application time, certificate must be produced before appointment.

Language

Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Pharmacy Council Registration

Candidate appointed by direct selection must register with the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council as per the Pharmacy Act, 1948 at the time of appointment, if not already registered.

Nationality

Indian Citizen or as per Rule 7 of Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Security Bond

The appointed candidate must furnish a security and surety bond in the prescribed form and amount as determined by the Government.

Application Fee

• General (UR): Rs. 500 (Non-Refundable if absent; refundable if present)
• Reserved categories (All category Women, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen): Rs. 400 (Non-Refundable if absent; refundable if present) Online payment through OJAS. Fee is refundable only to candidates who appear for the examination.

Additional Instructions

• Reservation for reserved categories is applicable only to candidates originally domiciled in Gujarat (Mool Gujarat).
• OBC/SEBC candidates from the Creamy Layer are not entitled to reservation benefits; they must apply as General (UR).
• Category once filled in the online application form cannot be changed after confirmation.
• Foreign university degrees must be evaluated for equivalence/recognition at the time of certificate verification.
• Keep registered mobile number and email active for exam communications; admit cards will be sent via SMS/email.
• The photograph uploaded should be recent (not older than 1 year from the last date of application) with a white background.
• Any act of impersonation, submission of false documents, or canvassing may lead to disqualification and legal action.
• All recruitment updates, corrigenda, and notices will be published on the official GSSSB website.
• Applicants must bear the examination costs; travel expenses are not reimbursed.
