Age Limits

• Urban post: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 40 years (as on 01.07.2026).
• Sambaddh Primary post: Minimum 21 years; superannuation age 62 years.

Educational Qualifications

• Assistant Teacher, Primary, Urban: Graduate degree from a University established by law in India, plus a Government-recognised teaching qualification (B.T.C./D.El.Ed. or equivalent as per NCTE norms), and must have qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Classes 1-5.
• Assistant Teacher, Sambaddh Primary (Aided Schools): Graduate degree from a recognised university, with B.T.C. or D.El.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised course, and must have qualified TET for Classes 1-5.
